Zaki – Photo by Christian Fischer
Yesterday night I received the mastered results of the last few studio days. Here are the numbers:
- 36 Tracks
- 3 hours and 13 minutes total playing time
- 6,15 GB WAV-Files with 88.2kHz sample rate
Next step: finding a name for each of the tracks and arranging the play order. Deciding which of these tracks really will make it on the 2 CD set, because we only have 2 x 80 = 160 minutes. All current tracks sum up to 193 minutes which means slightly more than 30 minutes can not be released on the CDs. These tracks will be fine for the release of an extra EP, or a bonus download, or a teaser, or as a free giveaway. What do you think about it?
Meanwhile waiting for the first drafts of the artwork…
Marc, recording at the Goldsound Studio – Photo by Dr. Jörg Jäger
Today I received a huge pile of pictures from Dr. Jörg Jäger, and I am completely thrilled by the scenes he catched. Jörg visited us during our studio days and at the Henkelmann concert. He is an experienced jazz-photographer and has a great feel for the right moment. And I find this in every one of the hundreds of pictures he did from us. I am sure a lot of these pictures will be included in the booklet.
Don’t forget to join our contest and win the digital release of the SAM album!
Tomorrow will be another interesting day in the SAM project. I will receive the last missing photos of photographer Dr. Jörg Jäger, who’s work I always loved. So I am really curious about the photos he took during our studio sessions and the concert at the Jazzclub Henkelmann.
The photo of Peter by the way is made by Bernd Wendt, who took some photos at the KAW concert in Leverkusen. You will see more of his work later.
A good friend of mine wrote a small article in his blog about our giveaway contest (Win the complete SAM recordings!). You can find the blogpost in German language here.
